About Me

My name is Pamela Shanley and I am so happy to be in my fifth year as the middle school science teacher
with the St. Edward's Middle School team.

I am a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Certification in Adolescent Education.  Last year I also received my MA in Adolescent Special Education from St. Joseph's College with an Annotation in Severe and Multiple Disabilities.

Having gone to Catholic school through high school - St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington and Sts. Phillip and James in St. James - I grew up surrounded by faith and strong academics and I am so blessed to now teach in a place where those values are cherished.

My favorite part about teaching here is the energy and curiosity that I see in my students every day.  My goal is inspire students to always wonder why things work the way they do and to connect natural phenomena to other content areas as much as possible.  Everything in our world is linked and it's OK to get a little messy learning how it all works!

I look forward to another great year at St. Edward the Confessor as we "Do Everything in Love"!
