Hi Everyone! My name is Ms. Silverman and I am a teacher of Special Education and have been teaching for thirty-four wonderful years. I received by bachelors degree in elementary and special education. My masters degrees are in Reading and Administration. In addition I have completed seventy-five graduate course credits beyond my masters. My many achievements include: that I directed and taught my own Pre-School and Nursery, A+ for Kids, for fourteen years; teacher of special education at Children's Village, Greenburg, New York; teacher of special education in Syosset, for ten years since 1998; and special education/resource room here a St. Edward's, since September 2007. I have many interest and am involved in many aspects of education. I am an avid reader, music lover, enjoying subscriptions to the Philharmonic and chamber music concerts, the theater, ballet, and opera; lover of sports, swimming, hiking, and a world-side traveler! I have traveled to over thirty-five countries including Papua New Guinea, Norwegian Arctic, Iceland, Madagascar, Bali, Borneo, Komodo Islands, Thailand, Vietnam, plus so many more. I have also visited at least thirty states in the United States. I have a wonderful loving family, two daughters,Jaime and Jaclyn, two phenomenal grandkids, Arrah and Aiden, three granddogs, five grandcats, and my very own three and a half month old white lab puppy, Riley!!!
