Extended Day (Aftercare)

3/21- Professional Day/No School N-8th**UPK has school

3/31- no UPK

4/16- 11:30 dismissal n-8(there IS after school care), 

N- gr. 8-NO school 4/17-4/25; 

UPK -NO school/NO CARE 4/14-4/18

The following forms need to be be filled out out PRIOR to any student attending care:
 ~Program Procedures form(Bottom to be signed by guardian and returned)
 ~Emergency and Registration form along with registration fee ($40 per student or $60 per family)
 ~Authorization for medical attention
 ~Monthly Registration form along with fees.

Payments can be sent electronically(link at bottom of page) or in paper form. Please send the MONTHLY registration dates attached in by the 1st day of each month.
 **If your monthly registration is not received prior to the beginning of each month, we can NOT guarantee that we will have available space for your child in our extended care program. Thank you!

Before-and After-school childcare is offered to children enrolled in St. Edward the Confessor School’s full-day nursery, preK program, UPK program as well a students enrolled in Kindergarten thru Eighth Grade. St. Edward’s childcare program is designed to be flexible and meet the needs of our students. Parents may choose to send their child(ren) for any number of hours/days. Care will be provided for the times listed below:

Before Care Time: 7:15 a.m. – 8:15am
(Nursery and Pre-K care will be offered from 7:15 until 9:30)

After Care Time:  pre-K thru 8th grade~dismissal until 5:45 pm
Nursery~ dismissal until 5 pm
On most early dismissal days care will run from 11:30 until 5:45 pm.
 

Children must be picked up by 5:45 pm. Any parent picking up their child after 6 pm will be charged a late fee of $5 per 15 minutes payable at the time of pickup. 

Monthly Registration Forms

Parents are asked to return completed monthly reservation forms for the Extended Care program prior to the first of each month along with full prepayment.  A $25 late fee will be charged for registrations forms received after the 5th of each month. The completed form should be emailed to your child's teacher as well as the moderator of the program. Rates:

All fees MUST be pre-paid BEFORE the child can stay in the extended day program. For same-day requests, the fee must be paid at pickup.
All fees should be paid online using our extended care app.

Annual non-refundable registration fee
 $40 per student, $60 per family

All Students ~ before care
~ $40 per day/per child for unlimited hours before school care
 --OR $225 per month unlimited before school care

UPK- after school care
~$40 for the first hour of after school care
 ~OR $50 for unlimited hours after school care per day
~OR $350 per child per month unlimited care up to one hour per day
~OR $400 per child per month unlimited days and hours

St. Edward Students~Nursery - 8th grade- after school care
~$30 for the first hour per day
~ OR $35 per day/per child for unlimited hours after school care
~OR $325 per child per month unlimited care up to one hour per day
--OR $350 per child per month unlimited hours after school care

More About St. Edward’s Childcare Program:

A teacher and an aide supervise children. Students will do their homework independently and socialize with other students. The majority of time will be spent in the extended care room, although students might be brought outside for supervised playtime. Parents should  send in a healthy snack and drink(juice box or water) as it will NOT be provided.  Please do NOT send in any snacks containing peanuts or nuts. *Students will complete their homework independently. Parents are asked to check homework for accuracy and completeness. *

• The phone number for the before and aftercare program is 516 364-0041. However, this number is ONLY available during care hours. All other times, please contact the school office at 516 921-7767.
• The Extended Care classroom is nut free. Please do NOT sent in any peanut or nut product foods with your child.
